Be My Nest

Be My Nest (London, 2020) is a photobook investigating the relationship between subconscious and domestic spaces; intimacy and those places which allow us to be intimate.

The photographic investigation began in Naples and gradually evolved into a journey of self-discovery beyond physical and geographic boundaries— from Neapolitan femminielli, to queer scenes and rooms in Milan and London, travels in India and Peru, and intimate moments during lockdown.

The book is permeated by a quiet sense of melancholy that runs through Fetto’s “nests”: people, places, and communities; fleeting, ethereal moments that offer empathy and refuge from the rhythm of everyday life. It is an ode to safe spaces — a celebration of the family that gave them life, and a tribute to the one that has kept them alive.

Following its launch at Printed Matter in New York on Valentine’s Day 2023, the book was acquired into the collections of NYU and Pratt Institute.
